korry's wins another award!
Uptown/Downtown Lifetime Achievement award
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 24, 2008

Toronto retailer Saul Korman of Korrys was honored this week in NYC with a Lifetime Achievement award from MR Magazine, the leading men's fashion trade publication. Lifetime Achievement awards are presented to a few select retailers who have demonstrated extraordinary innovation in merchandising, marketing and store design. In addition, their contributions must have impacted the entire industry, rather than just their own stores.
Korman was honored for his many contributions to the industry including becoming a radio personality in Canada and creating commercials that instruct, inspire and entertain.
Said MR editor in chief Karen Alberg Grossman, “Saul Korman is the only retailer I know who would praise his competition on the air. He is wonderful man with a big heart who has helped so many new designers and retailers get started in the business. He also happens to have an exceptional taste level and sense of style; he's created a men's fashion emporium that is truly one of the best in North America.”
Alberg Grossman went on to talk about Korman's lesser-known contributions to the industry. These include his role as mentor, his ability to evolve men's fashion and add value to his mix with his own brands, his wardrobe analysis programs, and his endless energy that surely belies his age.
Korman was honored during an awards dinner at The Four Seasons Restaurant on July 21, 2008 and in the July issue of MR Magazine. The full text of the article can be found on www.MRketplace.com.
